Position Description:

American International Group, Inc. has an opportunity for a Manager, Client Engagement and Industry Practice Group in New York. You will be responsible for providing executive finance support to Client Engagement (CE) and Industry Practice groups (IPG). This will involve operationalization of governance model and strategic plans as established by the AVP in consultation with business, as well as working with them on MBR and QBR MI Analytics

- Lead development of insights and material needed as input for MBR and QBR around client and industry
- Co-lead with AVP in delivery of the CE and IPG strategic plans by providing insights and analysis into recurring portfolio snapshots, engaging account portfolio, and IPG reporting
- Support PRAP management
- Lead expense analytics for CE and IPG
- Supervise a Rotational Finance Analyst in delivery of the above tasks, including training of the analyst in each rotation
- Identify and lead ad-hoc projects and key initiative delivery tracking
- Drive standardization of reporting for stakeholders
- Coach, train and develop rotational analyst, and help the Distribution team be a launching pad for a successful career at AIG by empowering successful team building skills and effective communication


Position Requirements:

- Minimum of 6 years of relevant FP&A experience - Knowledge in Insurance industry or financial services is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. Accounting, economics, engineering, finance, mathematics)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn other software packages
- Strong technical competence preferred (an aptitude for exploring AIG proprietary tools e.g. SAP, CRUIS, Essbase etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask in an extremely fast paced, complex environment going through significant change
- Analytical and problem solving skills with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in close coordination with the key finance and business leaders to drive results
- Ability to collaborate and interact effectively with all levels of staff and management, on and off-site
