This role strategically partners with client groups to address compiling, processing, and reporting of payroll information (compensation, tax, and benefits) along with maintaining system security and integrity to assure timely and accurate payments to employees, tax agencies, and other third parties.

You will lead payroll and benefit plans for 275+ employees with multiple state reporting. Your experience spans a wide range of Accounts Payables including working with accounting entries and close processes related to month end payroll:

  • Process payroll to ensure the timely and accurate processing and release of semi-monthly payroll for Vodafone US and affiliated entities.
  • Maintain Employee data in payroll system
  • Facilitate and monitor employee profiles
  • Process interface data for SAP HR system, 401(K) and other benefits.
  • Process special payroll runs/tasks for STIP award, Non-Qualified Plan distributions, Ad-hoc terminations, reissues, severance, Imputed income, direct deposit (recall).
  • Accurately maintain time reporting and vacation accrual in payroll system
  • Year-end reporting (W-2’s, etc.).
  • Maintain proper internal controls related to the 401(K) plan.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records regarding the 401(K) plan (wire reconciliations, etc.).
  • Monitor limits and contributions related to 401(K) and deferred compensation plans.
  • Research inquiries of both current and former employees on 401(k) plan
  • Assist TPA with benefit inquires
  • Respond to inquiries from employees on health benefits.
  • Update former employee addresses
  • Respond to employment verification queries.
  • Assist in administration of stock plans

Desired Technical Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business equivalent training required.
  • Minimum two years’ relevant experience in accounting and payroll (including multi-state and preferably international Expat payroll).
  • Understanding of payroll processes – interface, testing and release, including taxation and other legislation.
  • SAP experience beneficial, but not required.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and Outlook, WorkforceNow Payroll System and SAP HRMS
