(New York) - Well respected, well run, P&C Insurance carrier in NYC withMultiple locations is seeking a Senior Auditor in New York. Associates at this Client are given every opportunity to succeed, to learn from good managers who act like mentors and are given the chance to be promoted. Compensation is open but gravitating to the $65,000 - $75,000 range with bonus on top of this. P&C experience preferred. Big 4 or Regional Accounting firm experience preferred. CPA, CIA or CISA with 5-6 years overall experience. A fuller job description is below:


Contribute to auditing functions by assisting with the planning, execution and reporting of audit reports and effectively communicating audit results to management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Participate in various audit functions by thoroughly examining audit reports and documentation and demonstrating a high attention to detail to ensure achievement of business objectives

Ensure audit projects are completed properly, timely and accurately and adhere to regulatory requirements

Provide team support by reviewing audit work, providing technical knowledge and guiding and assisting the direction of various audit procedures

Ensure audits are in alignment with best practices, department guidelines and industry standards

Collaborate with key stakeholders by sharing knowledge and expertise and assisting with successful completion of various audit requests and inquiries

Analyze data and reports to identify errors and/or exceptions related to audits and recommend solutions for process improvement

Utilize appropriate tools to document audit work papers and perform data analysis and sampling, while demonstrating the insight and ability to select effective samples for testing

Conduct special investigation projects and perform project assignments and ad hoc requests as needed

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
2 years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA); Certified Internal Auditor (CIA); Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)
Working knowledge of computer systems and software
Principles and processes for providing customer service
Products and concepts relating to the insurance industry
