The Prospect NY collaborates with artists such as Nir Hod, Baron Von Fancy, and Kate Neckel to create unique homewares and livable art objects sold at such retailers as Five Story in NYC, Alchemist in Miami, All Too Human in Boston, and Reservoir in Los Angeles. The artists we are next launching collections with include: Misha Kahn, Enoc Perez, and Rachel Libeskind.

The Prospect NY seeks qualified interns beginning in Fall 2017 to play a support roles in an exciting and dynamic startup environment. The ideal candidates are New York based undergraduate or graduate students who are well-organized, detail oriented, dependable, collaborative and enjoy working in a small and fast-paced environment. Excellent writing, computer (Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite) and interpersonal skills required. Also required is an interest in and passion for art, beautiful product, and brand development.

1. ECommerce Intern - This intern will assist with the development and expansion of our online ecommerce channels through web design.

-Assist with the reorganization of our online website through coding
-Work with other members of the team to bring our website vision to life by implementing changes on our ecommerce platform - Shopify - which you will master!

-Knowledge of coding and web design are a must.
-Interest in design and aesethics
-Interest in, and knowledge of, online shopping a plus!
-Strong writing, interpersonal, and and communication skills required

2. Content Coordination & Administration Intern

-Assisting with the creation of marketing, press and product materials.
-Assisting with the creation of social media posts based on current trends and topics.
-Assisting with market and production research.
-Providing general office assistance including, but not limited to, the development of production schedules, mailing lists (through MailChimp) and server organization.
-Supporting the team in a development role through the creation of new retail leads and opportunities.
-Assisting with email marketing campaigns and database management
-Assisting with day to day retail activities, including packaging and distributing product.

-Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign
-New York based student
-Interest in design, social media, marketing and branding
-Strong writing, interpersonal, and and communication skills required

3. Graphic Design Intern - Graphic design intern will participate in a wide range of creative projects along with designing concept headers, digitalizing design boards, and development of marketing materials.

-Create computer files for packaging and brand identity presentations.
-Research and share contemporary trends in graphic design and help build Studio Inspiration Library.

-Manage multiple projects simultaneously OR Self-motivated, ability to multi-task
-Interest in the arts, fashion, and lifestyle brands
-Exhibit outstanding design skills. Portfolio should show excellent use of technique image composition, and color.
-Strong sense of aesthetics.
-Graphic design background.
-Highly detail-orientated.
-Proficient in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge, Acrobat Pro.
-Knowledge of WEB design applications a plus.
-Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills required
