The Public Theater/ New York Shakespeare Festival, the nation’s foremost theatrical producer of Shakespeare and new work, is seeking a full-time Production Management intern during our fall season. The Production Management Intern will assist the PM team in supporting both mainstage productions and reading/development projects.

The Production Management Intern works directly under the Production Managers and Assistant Production Managers, assisting in providing support for stage management and all production departments. Depending on the needs of each project, there may be opportunities for interns to shadow stage managers and department staff during tech and rehearsals. However, this will be schedule-dependent. There will be also be opportunities for one-on-one discussions and learning important tools of the trade, including resume building, budgeting, etc.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience on how technical departments work.

The ideal internship period is September through December. Starting and ending dates can be flexible; however, interns must be available for the bulk of the fall. Some late nights, early mornings and weekends will be required. We offer a stipend of $25/day. Interns are responsible for their own transportation and housing.
