The Tenth Anniversary Imagine Science Film Festival is happening October 13-20 in New York City!

Imagine Science Films, a non-profit organization which promotes a high-level dialogue between scientists and filmmakers, hosts annual science film festivals in New York, Paris, and Abu Dhabi, as well as satellite events internationally.

The Digital Media Intern will take on the role of preparing our films to be viewed in the festival. They will work closely with our Director of Programming to collect accepted films and media from filmmakers, meet with venues for tech checks, assemble films into the final programs, and help to oversee screenings so that all goes smoothly during the festival itself.

Location is at our offices in New Lab in the Brooklyn Navy Yards and at venues throughout the city.

Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Programming in collecting films, gathering materials, and compiling all film programs
Coordinate directly with filmmakers and festival venues
Ensure that festival screenings are well-prepared for and go smoothly

Qualifications
Familiarity with with digital file types and workflow (h264, ProRes, differing framerates and resolutions), as well as basics of editing
Premiere experience preferred, familiarity with Final Cut, Compressor, and MPEG streamclip an asset
