Leading Investment Bank is seeking an Angular JS Front End Developer to be part of a very visible technology endeavor. Pyramid is a strategic platform for processing and risk managing equity derivatives in the Investment Bank. It is currently used by Equity Derivatives businesses globally. It is responsible for product modeling, trade capture, risk, event and position management, providing the books and records to the bank for trades and feeding downstream back office systems such as accounting, settlements, legal documentation and regulatory reporting. The products traded on this platform range from high volume listed and flow derivative products to extremely complex over-the-counter structured and securitized derivatives. This is an opportunity for a Front End Developer to join an award winning technology team with very strong business sponsorship to deliver revenue enhancing technology and industry wide transformation. The roleDelivering high-quality and timely solutions on the Pyramid platform requires strong business analysis, stakeholder management, technical and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in financial markets and be a subject matter expert in equity derivatives, together with having a proven track record in delivering complex technology projects. This specific role will be tasked with joining an aggressive platform transformation programme, whereby critical deliveries need to be made to adopt to the complex landscape which is forming across the global derivatives market, whilst also delivering true business growth and ensuring the platform and it's technology is suited to the rigorous demands of the business over the future years. The successful candidate will work within the Pyramid transformation team as a full stack developer, who will be working in a team delivering a client facing on-line platform, comprising of pricing, trading, research of equity derivative products. They will be expected to contribute fully to the analysis, functional design and implementation of their stream, together with platform-wide contributions. The candidate will be a super strong web-oriented full-stack technologist with exception Java middle tier skills having a track record of delivering similar buy/sell side web solutions. The ability to bridge the gap between business and technology is paramount in this role, to drive the business forward in their objectives whilst shaping truly innovative web-based technology solutions. They will be required to participate in technical discussions; design sessions and own the build-out of solutions through to delivery. Experience in technical design and a strong desire to be involved in the detail of technology is critical for this role. The candidate will be expected to work in partnership with vendor/partner resources and with business product managers and user experience teams. Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness facing full-stack developer on a multi-year client facing web platform transformation programme, responsible for the end to end delivery of the streamWork with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, project/product managers, other programme leads & external vendors to deliver the solution, in-line with the strategic end-state and overarching business requirementsWork with the team to gather business requirements, perform detailed analysis, and produce associated functional specificationsTechnology build out of the detailed solution, working with other group technology leads to adhere toHands on coding of the solution / framework and key components within a front-end / Full stack / Java team of local and global developers (10/15)Production of code in adherence of testing strategy, timelines, scriptsProduce implementation approach, timelines, go-live strategyRecruit, manage & retain a team of top talent developers Essential skillsExpert in modern web technology stack, with special focus on AngularJS 1.x/2.x, NodeJS, Gulp, ES6, HTML5/CSS, etc.Experience building large scale enterprise web applications using modern UI frameworks including high performance grid and charting controls.Expert Java or NodeJS middle tier background * RESTful APIsExcellent analytical/problem-solving skillsProactive, self-motivated and flexible with a positive attitudeExperience delivering client-facing buy/sell side web solutions ideally in derivatives / equity derivatives spaceStrong background of understanding end to end life cycle of financial products (Equity derivatives or other derivatives) including: pricing, risk management, trade capture, confirmations, legal entity flows, accounting and regulatory requirementsAbility to clearly define and articulate technical solutionsExcellent written, verbal and presentation communication skillsConfidence in communicating internally at all levels; candidate will be dealing with front office, middle office and technology teams on a daily basis who are both business and technically sophisticatedAbility to coherently construct and present business requirements and solution based on input from various sourcesExcellent team-working skillsStrong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high-level standardExperience of a project life-cycle, including breaking requirements down into technical deliverable and estimating the work requiredExperience in working with technology development teams during build and implementation phases of requirementsExperience working and driving development teams in multiple locationsangular js, node js, html5, css3
