The St. Agnes Library is seeking an Office Aide to provide quality customer service to our Library users. This position will be scheduled for 35 hours per week during public service hours. Reporting to the Library Manager, the Office Aide:Works as part of a team to provide public service and assist with outreach activitiesAssists with reserves, inventory, circulation and other related dutiesProvides assistance to patrons on the use of computers and other technology or softwarePrepares print and non:print library materials for circulation, involving some data entry at a PCProcesses patron applications, including data entry, filing, and related tasksInspects and sorts print and non:print materialsAssists with creating and carrying out improvements to staff procedures and user experience of the LibraryPerforms related duties as requiredAccountability and ProfessionalismCustomer ServiceCallaboration and TeamworkJob:Specific Knowledge and SkillsHigh School diploma or its equivalentSuccessfully demonstrated public service experience with the ability to work well with a diverse patronageStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsSuccessfully demonstrated ability to work as part of a teamAttention to detailStrong organization and planning skills, including the ability to perform multiple projects or tasks simultaneouslyStrong computer and other related technology skills, including Google products and MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Proficiency with Envisionware and Sierra preferredDemonstrated knowledge of computer services including on:line searching and Library resources preferredPublic service libraryLight lifting (up to 15 lbs.)Sitting and standing for periods of timePushing book trucksUSD 26,731.00/Yr.USD 30,741.00/Yr.35 hours to be scheduled during regular branch hoursEvenings and Saturday as requiredSchedule subject to changeLocal 1930
