Full-time pre-school teachers for Jewish pre-school
Osher Early Learning Center (Washington Heights) seeks teacher for growing preschool
Our warm, loving, educationally progressive preschool (ages 2-5) seeks a new teacher to join our staff. The most important criteria are 1) a big heart; 2) teamwork skills; 3) innate curiosity and desire for professional growth; 4) dependability; and 5) love for Judaism
Our school employs a child-led curriculum model in which teachers are expected to be co-explorers, modeling skills and supporting students' social-emotional intelligence, problem-solving and critical thinking, as well as their learning of Hebrew and English literacy, early science, early math, music, art, parsha, Jewish holidays, and more. Hebrew and English are both spoken in the classroom. Our unique method takes inspiration from Montessori and Reggio Emilia, with an infusion of Chabad's joyful approach to Judaism.

Years of experience: 1-2
Individuals with 2+ years of preschool experience may be considered for a head teacher position; individuals with less or no experience may be considered for an assistant teacher position. Both include a rigorous paid training period in our methods and philosophy. Hebrew fluency is a plus but not required. Hours: 8:30am-4pm daily (Fridays until 1pm), plus weekly staff meetings, special events, and parent-teacher conferences. The teaching year runs from late August through late June, with a possibility of continuing work over the summer if desired.
