Arts in Action Visual Art ( AIAVAP) Program is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides a fine art education to children of all ages regardless of economic status. AIAVAP teaches a sequentially structured curriculum that is fun to learn!

This part time SUMMER CAMP ART TEACHING position is available four mornings, Mondays through Thursdays 8:30 to 1:00PM starting June 26th and ends August 17th. There will be required training session before the start of the start on June 26th.

This position is open to those with some expierence in teaching art, BFA graduates, or pending in fine art, illustration majors, or Art Education as well as current graduate students working toward their degree in Fine Art or illustration or Art Education. All applicants should be considering a career in art education.

Teaching expierence required. This is a great opportunity to learn all aspects of art education with a three time Black Board Award Winning fine art education program in it's 30th year! Learn sequential curriculum development as well as all aspects of teaching ages 3 to 18, including classroom management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Teaching campers, ages 5 to 12, the AIAVAP corriculum.
-Maintain studio supplies and cleanliness.
-Uphold AIAVAP's Teaching Philosophy and Fine Art Curriculum Goals
-Some administrative tasks will be required.
-Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Prior art teaching expierence, BA or BFA, or pending, in Fine Art, Illustration, and/or Art Education preferred but flexible.
-Proficient art skills in drawing, and painting in a variety of dry and wet mediums.
-Understands and embrases a spiral sequencetial corriculum development.
-Punctual, detail oriented, flexible, and willing to spend extra time to complete tasks assigned.
-Proficient, and organized in written communication, Google Drive, word processing, and other tech related abilities.
-Discrete professionalism, maintaining a polite manner at all times when communicating with children, and parents.
-Takes direction well, and collaberates well with other employees.
-Must be available for training.
