POSITION SUMMARY:
The Advertising Research Foundation is seeking an Events Program Manager with a passion for the advertising research/marketing industry and previous experience programming and producing agendas.
The Events Program Manager is responsible for the management of program development and execution of 15:20 events throughout the year, ranging from 2:hour sessions, half:day forums to full day events. Duties include creating program agendas, liaising with high:profile speakers and managing their deliverables, as well as coordination with other ARF departments (including Research and Marketing) and overall project timelines.

Primary Responsibilities:
Conceptualize program themes; build story arc and create compelling and engaging agendas
Build agendas by identifying high:profile, relevant industry experts and through our call for content process
Liaise with high:profile speakers with tact and diplomacy to collect bios, photos, decks, speaker release forms and white papers under tight deadlines
Manage creation process for slide string decks, moderator scripts and speaker show flow
Project manage overall event timelines and processes including agenda creation, marketing communication and collateral and team meetings
Coordinate with internal IT and events staff as well as outside AV teams and other vendors
Manage speakers and show flow onsite: speaker wrangling, rehearsals, and timing/pacing
Provide support for all events as needed
Perform other project:related duties as requested
Candidate Requirements:
:4:7 years relevant experience in a programming events role, preferably with a membership association or publisher in the
advertising/marketing field
:Experience building a story arc out of themes/topics and creating compelling and engaging agendas
:Passion for consumer
insights/analytics/advertising/marketing industry and curiosity about latest industry issues and hot topics
:Ability to lead event process from inception to onsite execution
:Excellent communication skills in all areas, written, verbal, and listening
:Ability to liaise with senior professionals outside of the organization and across departments internally in a mature and calm manner
:Proactive, solutions oriented
:Superior attention to detail
:Technologically savvy : proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint/Keynote
:Experience in eTouches or other content submission platforms a plus
