JLABS, part of Johnson & Johnson Innovation is a network of life science incubators providing emerging companies many of the advantages of being in a big company, without the capital investment. JLABS offers singular bench tops, modular wet lab units and office space on a short-term basis, allowing companies to pay only for the space they need, with an option to quickly expand when they have the resources to do so. Companies residing at JLABS also have access to core research labs hosting specialized capital equipment and shared administrative areas.
JLABS is an open innovation model, and the agreement for space does not grant JLABS or Johnson & Johnson Innovation any stake or rights in the companies, nor will the companies have a guaranteed future affiliation with JLABS. The flagship facility is located in San Diego at Janssen's West Coast Research Center, and Johnson & Johnson Innovation JLABS has now numerous facilities accelerating healthcare and the advancement of globally.
The Innovation Senior Manager will drive and support our Innovation Activation team to achieve successful demand generation campaign and external engagement activations for J&J Innovation (JJI) and JLABS brands around the world.
Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the Innovation Activation team members based across the globe to curate and deliver cutting edge commercialization curriculum that catalyzes the ecosystem and promotes J&Jâs core capabilities. Team members have a minimum of 5-10 yearsâ experience in managing events and marketing programs and on average will produce ~75 events per calendar year per location. This position will use a collaborative approach with team members to identify new as well as scale marketing systems and processes for growth such as contact database, email marketing, event management, digital analytics, and online community management. Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.
Responsible for supporting external engagements that advance our business objectives, drive awareness and advance organizational reputation. Support JJI and JLABS brands corporate identity and lead global community engagement through digital communication vehicles (electronic and hardcopy newsletters, portal, external websites, external brochures, presentations, social media channels, SOPs, etc.) to deliver brand growth and visibility.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Hospitality, Business or a related discipline is required. A proven performer with a minimum of 10 years of marketing/communication management, managing demand generation and marketing campaigns, is required. Analytical skills are required. Experience in team management and direct reporting is required. eMarketing experience, including social media and direct emailing, is required. Exceptional writing skills are required. Experience in a health care setting or industry association is preferred. Experience working with and managing vendors and consultants, and managing budgets is preferred. Experience in marketing/communication tools (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc.) and online tools (eventbrite, constant contact, salesforce, etc.) are required. Must be detail orientated and have strong personal leadership skills. Must be able to organize work towards deadlines and priorities on a daily basis, and to cope with fast pace.
