**The Business:**
Our Health and Benefits business helps large and mid-size clients control health and welfare plan costs, improve health outcomes and promote employee engagement through broad-based, state-of-the-art interventions. We provide solutions encompassing creative plan design, vendor evaluation and management, pricing and funding strategies, data analytics, valuation support, compliance and governance strategies. We also provide Specialty consulting services including clinical/health management program design, pharmacy solutions, disability/absence management strategies and claims audit services. Product based solutions such as our pharmacy purchasing coalition round out our broad-based suite of offerings.
**Overview:**
This role will develop and refine pharmacy solutions that meet the needs of WTW clients that have a middle market buying preference, based on their organization s size, budget and typical brokerage model buying style. This role will serve as a dedicated pharmacy leader to this market, creating intellectual capital, operationalizing the offerings, liaising with other groups and leading delivery to our clients. The ideal candidate brings technical resources and talent to guide middle market clients in the design and management of their pharmacy benefit, in a way that drives growth in our business. This role will have responsibility for staff oversight and development, and will sit on the Middle Market extended leadership team as well as the Pharmacy Practice leadership team for Health & Benefits North America (H&B NA). The role will report to the Middle Market H&B NA leader and matrix report to the Pharmacy Practice leader. While primarily responsible for working with Middle Market sales and delivery teams, the role will liaise with other specialty practice leaders and other line of business (LOB) leadership.
**Performance Objectives:**
**Growth and Intellectual Capital (IC)**
+ Through engagement on the NA Pharmacy leadership team, help develop NA Pharmacy Practice growth plan and support growth of the practice from a middle market perspective
+ Develop middle market pharmacy business plan and monitor progress on achieving goals
+ Ensure pricing and purchasing options meet the needs of the buyer; continually review for market needs. This includes development of expertise to assist with both carve-in and carve-out solutions for clients.
+ Collect, and review sales and pipeline data and other data available to identify and pursue prospects (as available), as well as any available staff utilization data to monitor middle market pharmacy practice capacity and growth
+ Provide support, as needed, for presenting the middle market pharmacy solution in the sales prospecting process. This includes development of materials to be used for RFP responses, other marketing materials, and presenting at high revenue middle market prospective client meetings and/or training resources within the team to represent the middle market
+ Represent the WTW brand in speaking engagements both internal and external to discuss trends in the pharmacy marketplace, and other relevant topics to promote our pharmacy expertise to Middle Market clients and prospects
+ Participate in national Pharmacy Practice calls and meetings to promote growth objectives and learning and development
+ Participate in/provide resources for intellectual capital development, and ensure that middle market needs are appropriately reflected in overall Pharmacy Practice intellectual capital, including collaboration with Strategic Outcomes and Alliances and the Project Management Office as appropriate
+ Maintain connection to NA, regional, and local middle market business leadership particularly on specialty practice growth and integration across value-added services
**Excellence**
+ Serve as the senior middle market strategist on pharmacy projects including offering pharmacy benefit management contract solutions, plan design recommendations, and audit/reconciliation solutions that result in savings value to clients
+ Contribute pharmacy and related perspectives to middle market clients, leveraging intellectual capital from the broader Pharmacy Practice
+ Lead development and dissemination of new middle market intellectual capital, including tools, approaches and quality standards, for the Pharmacy Practice.
+ Ensure appropriate governance, legislative, and work quality processes are adhered to on all work carried out in the pharmacy area
**Delivery and Talent**
+ Serve as a mentor and coach to middle market team members, identifying strengths and weaknesses and providing meaningful real-time feedback to team members, and periodically to people managers. This includes active participation in the annual review, promotion and bonus process
+ Promote a sense of community and high morale in the middle market practice while supporting integration with large market colleagues, producers, consultants and other specialty practices
+ Work with national specialty leaders, and the middle market North America leader, regional and local middle market leaders to identify future needs, develop business casesto justify new hires as necessary, and help identify, interview and hire candidates to join the pharmacy team
+ Serve as the executive sponsor for all middle market team members, including ownership for the onboarding of new middle market pharmacy consultants
+ Optimize work assignment and distribution through the practice, addressing the needs of clients, consultants and producers while being sure that workload is sustainable
+ Serve as a model for professional excellence in client delivery
+ Provide QA review and guidance to middle market pharmacy colleagues, as needed; monitor overall quality middle market client deliverables and ensure that client deliverables generally meet WTW Excellence standards **The Requirements:**
+ Significant experience and success in delivering pharmacy consulting services to middle market clients, preferably gained in a consulting or brokerage environment
+ Proven ability to generate revenue
+ Track record of managing client relationships
+ Broad based benefits experience and knowledge, particularly in the middle market space
+ Track record of developing new intellectual capital/tools
+ Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work cross-functionally
+ Proven ability to recognize and diagnose issues and leverage the resources of other related practices to address client challenges
+ Minimum of 10 years combined practice/leadership/business experience
+ Flexibility with regard to travel that can range from 50-60%
