# Principal Responsibilities:
The Literacy Specialist is responsible for augmenting and implementing literacy curriculum for a diverse group of K-8 grade students and their families at 2-4 different locations each week. This position would be ideal for teachers across Upper Manhattan interested in additional hours, and impact within the context of an extended learning afternoon environment. Duties also include: Engaging key parents and school staff in the promotion of the program, supervising the integration of Group Leaders into the weekly programs, including preparing them to fulfill specific roles and responsibilities related to the daily curricular goals, and modeling Y behavior practice policies to participants.
# Minimum Qualifications:
Teaching credential required. Experience with literacy intervention instruction. Experience working with families. Spanish fluency preferred.
