Job Description:/h3:
The Membership Coordinator/Member Engagement Associate (MEA) works with a group of Member Managers who together assist the EVP, Member Needs and Value in managing the relationship of 400+ ARF corporate Members, 100+ of which are Fortune 500 companies and are designated as ARF Industry Leader Members (IL).
The ideal MEA represents the Advertising Research Foundation in the most positive manner with prospective and current Members, vendors and the industry and academic communities we serve. Interacts effectively with a diverse group of staff, ARF Member Volunteers (Board, Councils, Committees) and uses operating practices of the department and the ARF; upholds the principal mission: to improve the practice of advertising, marketing, and media research in pursuit of more effective marketing and advertising communications.

Member Engagement
Member value delivery as measured by Member action, feedback and retention. Key activities to be managed are:
:The MEA will be assigned ownership of a limited number of Member organizations, interfacing (phone, face to face, etc.) with and fulfilling all Member requests, including providing information related to Member privileges, sending out participation reminders and reminders of dues payments.
:Learn to set up and participate in Activation Calls to acquaint New Members with ARF benefits, and Reactivation Calls with existing Members to provide updates on benefits and re:engage Members in the ARF.
:Maintain iMis database for assigned Members and perform data queries, compile activity reports and perform benchmark analyses to provide insights about how the ARF can become even more relevant to its Members
:Assist in preparing various analyses of Members (dues, constituency, regional locations) for Executive Committee and Board of Director meetings as well as programming.
:Take part in key Member call (1x/year) to ascertain the Members business needs, challenges, goals and priorities, and determine and recommend ways the ARF can support them in their work
:Assist in negotiating Member renewal contracts and dues (continuity agreements, conference ticket inclusions, company acquisitions, etc.)
:Support other departments in connecting them to key Member individuals based on their needs (conference speakers, sponsorships, etc.)
:Work with Accounting Department and Staff Assistant on annual Membership renewals and budget preparations
:Manage and maintain LOF
document/Membership billing system

New Program Launch
This New Member program is a key opportunity to create a Member benefit that will lead to enhanced Member engagement and improved Member retention.
Responsibilities will include helping to formulate, coordinate, and organize the launch of this program. Key stakeholders will include a BOD Member, an ARF Research lead, a YP, a Member manager, and several key Members.
:Help coordinate and launch new Councils program
:Coordinate the efforts of the research and Membership teams on outreach to enlist committee and council Members. This will include maintaining email lists, following through on email outreach and coordinating calls and meetings.
:Assist in preparing a council calendar
:Assist in organizing council events and programming
:Work with marketing to update events and updates on the website
:Assist with the launch of the online communities
:Assist with running the online communities overall.
:Maintain schedules and next steps from meetings
:Other duties as may be assigned
Team Support
:Maintain calendar of department deliverables; schedule meetings and follow up to ensure deadlines and commitments are met.
:Develop and maintain agenda for weekly Membership meetings; take notes and make sure follow up happens in a timely manner.
:Track and maintain Member participation and engagement statistics by creating reports and spreadsheets that clearly illustrate Member involvement at the ARF
