Ichiba Ramen by Shinokubo is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to be responsible for procurement, production and distribution of a high volume of quality meals.

Ichiba Ramen focuses on introducing quality ingredients from Asia to New Yorkers. Our food has a rich history of Asian culture but is refined to the food culture in New York City. We bring new and exciting dishes to support seasonal ingredients by local farmers from The Union Square Market & represent a proud new food culture in NYC.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing commissary cooking and logistics operations, managing an efficient kitchen staff, managing inventory of food and kitchen supplies, and assist in developing new recipes. The utmost importance for the chef must be placed upon the ability to creatively solve problems in a fluid environment.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of BOH experience
• Culinary degree from an accredited restaurant school preferred but not required
• Uncompromised sanitation and safety standards
• Experience with developing recipes/ability to create and maintain seasonal dishes
• High quality food standards
• Must be familiar with HACCP guidelines and have a NY Health Department Food Safety
