Remote candidates in the United States will be considered for this role

Noom Inc., a leader in mobile health coaching, combines the power of technology with the empathy of real human coaches to deliver successful behavior change at scale. Our mobile applications cover chronic/pre-chronic disease (diabetes, hypertension, and obesity to name a few), reaching more than 45 million users worldwide, and transforming millions of lives. The Growth Hacking team is at the forefront of this mission, tackling one of the hardest challenges in healthcare today: getting people to take that initial (and biggest!) step towards living a healthier lifestyle.

Recently we've partnered with one of Japan's largest insurance providers to distribute our mobile experience across the Japanese consumer market, and this is where you come in! We have a large advertising budget to break into the Japanese market and, and we need someone to pioneer our user acquisition efforts. You will be developing compelling and relevant copy that appeals to our target audience and converts them into active users. You will be researching Japanese-specific consumer habits, developing hypotheses, implementing and iterating upon campaigns and previous experiments to not only gain users, but help Noom become a household name in Japan.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

* Develop compelling copy, messaging, and concepts that appeal to the Japanese market and moves them to purchase our product

* Carefully manage, track, and analyze all of the various acquisition funnels across different media sources (website, email drip, paid advertising) and recommend hypotheses for improvement

* Test acquisition hypotheses and campaigns with the goal of increasing conversion rates to trial sign up or purchase

* Constantly deeply review and analyze previous experiment learnings, develop new hypotheses, acquisition campaigns to test them

* Work directly with the growth team and cofounder of the company

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

* Native-level fluency (both written and spoken language) in Japanese

* Experience creating direct response copy; web page copy experience a big plus

* Experience in marketing or growth marketing in the Japanese market; big plus if you also have experience in the US market

* Strong awareness of Japanese culture and consumer behavior, especially within the context of online shopping and virtual services

* Experience with full-funnel A/B testing and optimization, including ads, landing pages, user onboarding flow and email remarketing

* A growth marketing/optimization mindset

* A proactive team player who enjoys working with peers and other key stakeholders to design and execute against the evolving business needs

NICE-TO-HAVE:

* Knowledge of Wordpress, Marketo and Optimizely/UnBounce

* Experience working with designers and engineers

* Experience in a startup

We are open to candidates interested in working remotely, however they must be located in the US
