The Director of Marketing is responsible for CityMDA?s marketing/ advertising strategy, execution and brand awareness. Additionally, this position manages a team of 3:6 individuals while providing mentorship and development opportunities.The primary duties and responsibilities of the Director of Marketing are:Develop a strong understanding of CityMDA?s primary brand attributes, key success factors, points of differentiation, competitive advantage, and positioning compared to competitorsOversee all elements of the annual marketing campaign plan to ensure the effectiveness and consistency of a strong integrated marketing communication (IMC) plan that supports reach, frequency, and engagement; including but not limited to SEO/ SEM, digital, traditional, promotions, sponsorships, events, website, etc.Align and integrate initiatives across all functional areas within the marketing department (i.e. advertising, social media, promotions, events, etc.)Monitor messaging and channel strategies to ensure alignment with the brand, target audience profiles, and regional demographicsLaunch marketing initiatives targeting new sites and entry into new regionsLeveraging consumer data to generate marketing/ advertising insights through a defined analytical processManage the organizationA?s consumer survey processes, quantitative analysis (SAS/ SPSS), focus groups, and data vendors (i.e. Press Ganey), etc.Working with internal communications, employee engagement and public relations teammates to maximize the exposure and success of various initiativesWork with finance to establish a formal marketing ROI process for monitoring investments and to ensure actionable insights drive future campaign strategiesTeam up with regional operations and volume analytics teams to provide increased real time targeted marketing to drive consumer acquisitionEstablish a defined marketing toolbox of acceptable marketing/ advertising investments and begin to push some budgetary decision:making processes down to the site level to compliment long:term scaling growth strategiesWork with creative to write key branded statements and tag linesDevelop a vision for the future structure of the department based on evolving needsAssess, select, and manage external relationships and vendorsA candidateA?s qualifications will include:BachelorA?s degree in marketing or business administration. MBA strongly preferred10+ years of full:cycle marketing and branding success Expert knowledge of marketing including but not limited to media planning, advanced digital marketing, consumer insights and analytics, social media and public relationsStrong negotiation skills, project and budget management, business and financial acumenConfidence dealing with senior executives both internally and externallyMust possess excellent creative and analytical skillsFlexible and open to possibilities, feedback and the need to alter current plans and/or approach
