Primary responsibilities include the planning, coordination and execution of all client-related, firm-hosted events and seminars, sponsorship opportunities, and attorney speaking engagements.Additional responsibilities include oversight of event-related marketing databases, as well as event budgeting and reporting.The role, which reports to the Marketing Operations Manager, is extremely varied and fast-paced, and will provide the successful applicant with valuable experience in events planning and marketing and business development in a professional services environment.Job Responsibilities• Coordinate, plan and manage all activities related to firm-hosted events. Specific responsibilities include:o working with internal clients (i.e., attorneys and business development team) on event strategy, from pre-event planning to obtaining post-event feedback;o identifying and negotiating with appropriate off-site venues and vendors regarding all aspects of events, from food and décor to giveaways;o working closely with colleagues in other departments (catering, office services, IT, receptionists, etc.) to coordinate on-site event logistics;o communicating effectively and efficiently with attorneys and business development staff about the arrangements.o event invitation creation and distribution, event list management, and RSVP tracking and reporting.o creating and managing event budgets;o on-site set-up and attendance;o providing post-event analysis and reporting.• Coordinate all activities related to firm sponsorships and attorney speaking opportunities. Specific responsibilities include:o researching new sponsorship and speaking opportunities;o communicating effectively and efficiently with attorneys and business development staff about the arrangements.o working with outside conference organizers to make arrangements, negotiate contracts, and ensure flawless execution;o setting up and breaking down the firm’s booth at conferences and professionally representing Lowenstein Sandler at the booth during events;o providing post-event analysis and reporting.• Assist business development team with the creation of presentation materials and other event-related collateral including post event follow-up mailings and other communications.Requirements• A Bachelor's Degree required.• 4-6 years of events experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services setting.• Good analytical skills.• Strong writing and communication skills.• Must be highly motivated, a self-starter who can work independently• Strong project management skills, deadline-oriented.• Able to manage multiple projects at once.• A strong executor who is detail-oriented. • Client-service oriented and an enthusiastic team player, with a positive can-do attitude.• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Ability to use technology efficiently. o CRM experience- Interaction preferred.o E-mail Marketing experience.• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Office Location: New York, NYSchedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday; Flexibility of work hours is important.
