Job Advert:We are searching for a Subscription Sales Executive, to maximise, grow and retain our subscription revenues. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious sales person to join the International Financial Law (IFLR) team. IFLR is the market leading financial law publication for lawyers in financial institutions, corporates and private practice. The successful candidate will be selling to an industry which demands high quality content and up–to-date news analysis. The role will be new business focussed with a significant amount of time spent on building new customer relationships and accounts. You will be expected to self- source new business leads in addition to those supplied by our marketing team. You will also be managing a significant book of renewal business and be expected to take over and grow existing accounts. The successful candidate is expected to develop relationships with key individuals and senior stakeholders and the position requires careful management of a number of clients of significant value. Working from the London office, the ideal candidate will be expected to work efficiently both as an individual and within a team, exceeding targets based on revenues. Confidence to deal with senior members of the international financial community both over the telephone and face to face is essential. Good organisational and time management skills are critical, as well as the ability to identify the bigger deal. They will also have an opportunity to work closely with the Publisher, Editor and Marketing team in order to help develop best practice and increase subscription sales. Key RequirementsA minimum of 12 months proven subscriptions sales experience is required.Excellent communication skills – over the phone, face-to-face and writtenProactive – you’ll need to get your head around the industry fairly quickly and not be shy about asking questionsConfidence – You will be on the phone from week one! Your Responsibilities Include To develop and maintain existing relationships with all relevant decision makers within your client baseIdentify and maximise growth opportunities from your client baseGenerate new business from warm leads, event attendance and website usagePrimarily work from leads that are provided by the Marketing Department, but also self-generated, both externally and internally by liaising with the Publisher, the Editorial team and the Advertising team on a regular basis.Attending industry events and visiting clients will also be expected from time to time.With excellent opportunities to progress within the team or wider business, this is an ideal role for someone looking to develop their sales careerCommunication skills; including both oral and written communication, negotiation, telephone and effective listening skills.Interpersonal skills; being able to work well within a team as well as working independently to deadlines, be pro-active, goal-orientated and be able to use own initiative.Organisational skills; be a motivated quick learner able to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload.
