Key Responsibility: This role is responsible for improving the performance of the Advertising Research Foundations digital properties including, but not limited to, the primary website, the mobile website, the mobile app and the ARFs social community home pages. This is inclusive of monitoring performance, updating properties and partnering with the Chief Marketing Officer and Content Manger to insure overall communication priorities are delivered.
Reporting: Position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and is a member of the Advertising Research Foundations marketing team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Advertising Research Foundation (ARF) is restructuring its digital offering from a primarily
corporate/informational presentation to a more dynamic and responsive content presentation, updating content monthly similar to a monthly online magazine.
The Web Manager is responsible for initially working closely with the ARFs outside UI and design partners as they design and implement the new website and mobile website. On an on:going basis, the Web Manager is responsible for maintenance, content implementation and continual improvement, including site strategy, technical development and updates, future technology recommendations and revenue generation opportunities.
The ideal WebManager represents the Advertising Research Foundation in the most positive manner with prospective and current members, vendors and the industry and academic communities we serve. Interacts effectively with a diverse group of staff, ARF member volunteers (Board, Council, Committee) and uses operating practices of the department and the ARF; upholds the principal mission: to improve the practice of advertising, marketing and media research in pursuit of more effective marketing and advertising communications; and handles confidential information with tact and discretion.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for a full understanding of thearf, including but not limited to: site objectives and strategies, site technology, design and content, site vendors, future website and technology
planning/advancement, etc.
Daily and weekly maintenance of content pages, in coordination with the ARFs various publishing and marketing activities.
Project managing key digital projects and campaigns. This involves planning, defining project scope and deliverables, requirements gathering, coordinating with colleagues in other teams and/or third:party suppliers, sticking to deadlines, chasing contributors if necessary, and reporting progress.
Primary Responsibilities (continued):
Must be able to consult and contribute internally on design/UX best practices and be able to assist with development and execution.
Monitor the technical performance of the website and ensure problems are identified and resolved quickly, as well as be able to work with IT partners as necessary.
Reporting and Analysis: Track and provide accurate and timely reporting of website traffic and provide effective analysis with well thought out solutions to consistently improve the user/member experience.
Digital Manger will be required to prepare and distribute monthly analytic reports. The goal is providing insightful and actionable recommendations to improve the effectiveness of web traffic and user engagement.
Digital Manger will also contribute to the development and execution of various web:related marketing programs, including but not limited to email, social outreach and leading onsite demonstrations at ARF events and Member locations.
Will be responsible for ensuring seamless site integration and sync of information across all digital platforms.
A keen understanding and ability to implement SEO best practices.
Stay up to date on the webs latest technologies and make sure the site and its products are always mobile:friendly and multi:platform ready.
