RUBBER FACTORY (LES, Manhattan) is seeking interns for Rubber Factory Posters, Rubber Factory x The Assembly, and a communications and public relation interns for the gallery. Lunch and monthly metrocard will be provided.

PR Intern-

Seeking a highly motivated gallery communication and public relations intern. We are looking for a capable and engaged team member interested in contributing to the operations of the gallery. This position requires committing a minimum of 1 day per week from 12 noon to 6:00 pm with remote tasks assigned occasionally.

-A successful candidate will be exceptionally organized, responsible, and a skilled multitasker.
-Interest in art history and contemporary art.
-Experience in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
-Must have a good command of the English language.
-Must be highly skilled in writing and preferably have experience with drafting exhibition or editorial materials.

Responsibilities will include:
-Updating and posting gallery information in social media networks.
-Drafting and publishing gallery press materials.
-Public Relations.
-Researching and making contact with the media and the press.
-Designing communication material such as flyers, brochures, catalogues.
-Orchestrating large-scale print mailing and e-blasts.
-Assisting the gallery team members in maintaining strong client relationships.
-Assisting the gallery team in the curation of exhibitions.

Rubber Factory Posters | Sales Internship:

A new division of Rubber Factory, RFP focuses on producing posters by photographers with editorials on the reverse side. We are looking for a sales intern, who will help put together display materials, work with us at events and book fairs, and reach out to potential retail avenues. Previous retail experience a big plus, but not required. If you're looking to get experience talking about art and photography and if you love the medium, this might be the internship for you. We're still developing our business, so once we are fully operational, if the work's done well, we can consider expanding the role into a proper position.

Rubber Factory x The Assembly. Internship:

The Assembly. is a monthly event inviting artists to present their ongoing work and practice. In addition to the event, we have introduced podcast element in which we are still developing. The podcast functions as an extension of the monthly gatherings that allows us to discuss the themes within the works that artist present more in depth.

Now expanding our event to Toronto, we are seeking a highly motivated intern with interest in cultivating a community in contemporary art and photography to join our team! This position requires a two day per week commitment - one day in person and one working remotely on assignment.

A successful candidate will possess:
-Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Audition and Adobe Premiere.
-Knowledge of audio and video editing.
-Knowledge of contemporary photography and art.
-Keen interest in curating.

Responsibilities will include:

-Assisting in production and post production of The Assembly. event and podcast.
-Assisting in social media and maintaining the mailing list.
-Working directly with The Assembly. directors in researching programming for both NYC and Toronto.
