Praised by American Theatre Magazine for their “unexpected, challenging work that approaches story and ideas from multiple angles and generates a thrill with unusual juxtapositions,” the acclaimed performance group Sister Sylvester returns to Dixon Place with the world premiere of Maps for a War Tourist. This refreshing and daring company creates text, sound, and imagery as they deal with truth and political art, combining documentary and mythology. Directed by Kathryn Hamilton, the piece is based on a true story of a young Turkish woman and will play six performances only from June 2nd through 17th. In this work Sister Sylvester tries to figure out how we got so lost, or whether we've been using the wrong maps all along.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $23 at the door. For tickets and further information please visit or call 866-811-4111.
